This limited-edition widebody sports car unleashes over 850 horsepower from a supercharged 5.0L V8 engine.
Back in 1967, Shelby introduced the GT500, which featured the torquey 428 cubic inch V8, while the GT350 kept the high-revving 289 cubic inch high performance V8. Both were outstanding and competitive race cars.
The GT500 was equipped with a 428 cubic inch engine pumping out 355hp. It was, at the time, the most powerful Mustang ever built. Its formidable performance and aggressive appearance marked the Mustang’s transformation from pony car to muscle car.
